Seleda is an online marketplace where users can buy, sell, and advertise goods and services across Ethiopia. It’s a community-driven platform where unused items find new purposes and value, offering a space for exchanging not just products, but also skills, space, and even financial resources. At Seleda, we prioritize simplicity and integrity, always putting the needs of our users first and being transparent about our challenges and progress.

We understand that your time is valuable, and not everyone has the luxury to spend hours shopping or running errands. Seleda simplifies the buying process, allowing you to shop, buy, and sell from the comfort of your home or office, without disrupting your important tasks.

To create an account on Seleda, simply visit our website at https://seleda.com/ and click the ‘user account icon.’ Then, select ‘Sign Up,’ fill in the necessary details, and hit ‘Create Account.’ A one-time password (OTP) will be sent to confirm your email or phone number. Enter the OTP on the activation page, and congratulations, you’re now part of the Seleda community!

After registering, click the ‘Post Now’ button on the homepage or tap the ‘+’ icon at the bottom of your screen. • Choose whether to post as an individual or create a company account. • Select a relevant category for your product or service. • Choose a sub-category, and fill in all required details, including images from different angles. Please ensure all fields marked with an asterisk (*) are filled out and that the images meet the size and number requirements. • Once you’ve completed the form, click ‘Post.’ • In the following window, select ‘Free Post.’ • Your ad will initially be in ‘pending’ status. Relax while our team reviews and approves it.

Our moderators will carefully review your ad to ensure all information is accurate and meets our guidelines. If everything is in order, your ad will be activated. This process might take up to 24 hours. You’ll be notified when your ad is live. If there are issues, your ad will be moved to ‘Draft’ status, with an explanation provided, so you can make necessary corrections. You can always edit, update, or delete your ad through your profile page under ‘My Ads.’

Your ads will remain active for up to one month from the last update or until you decide to deactivate them. If you haven’t sold your item, you can always update your ad before it expires.

If you’ve forgotten your password, simply click the ‘Forgot Password?’ link on the login page. Enter the email or phone linked to your account, and you’ll receive an OTP for verification. After confirming the OTP, you can set a new password to regain access.

To update your personal details, log in to your Seleda account, click the ‘Account Icon,’ then go to ‘Settings’ and ‘Profile Settings.’ Here, you can modify your contact information as needed.

To leave feedback about a product or seller: • Visit the product’s detail page • Scroll to the description section and click the ‘Review’ tab • Click ‘Write Your Review’ and submit your comments. To report illegal activity: • Send an email to report@seleda.com, and we will take appropriate action.
